After looking listlessly through lists (heh) of the rich and famous, it brings me back to thinking about inspirational people.

In particular, those with sense of style that have held the longest sustaining effect on my choice of dress everyday.
Aside from Daisy Lowe, Lou Doillon, Briggitte Bardot, female fashion bloggers in every shape size and color depending on my mood, my mind always drifts back to...
Steven Tyler.
People may be surprised to know that I am heavily inspired by male icons, especially rock stars, when it comes to fashion. I love the sight of them, how they make the most mismatched things go unbelievably well together, how time and time again they embody the welcome fact that there are no hard and fast rules when it comes to style.
Most importantly, they exude a sense of wild freedom and fun.

I have seen pretty much every item in the picture above hanging on the racks of Australian chain store, Sportsgirl. Talk about fashion inspiration!

A long nurtured love affair with rock and grunge music heavily influenced by my big brother (it was the 90s, he had long hair, was older, was within radius of my pastel-colored, my little pony infested room, and played the guitar - introducing a firsthand education of what was cool at that point in time) definitely provided a solid introduction to Steve.
His wackiness, no-holds-barred music and attitude stamped a permanent mark across my wardrobe, my playlist and love towards all things rock star. I kid you not, when those I have absolutely nothing to wear moments arise, the words 'What would Steve wear?' will cross my mind.
Seriously. Look at him rock those snake-print pants.

Never mind that his style has been compared to that of a forty-year-old woman's. I once tied a scarf around myself and called it a day. No wonder those fashionistas never leave me alone.

Yes? No? Never mind.
